Very unhappy with the store


This is about a purchase in Lubbock, TX Ashley's. We ordered a living room set: recliner, love seat and sleeper. In the store, the recliner pieces had gaps between the back of the seat and seat cushions. We were told that those were old floor models and the ones we get would not have that problem. However, when they were delivered in about a month, both the recliner and reclining love seats all had that problem. The store switched our order, we had to settle for a different color, not the one that matched our living room, but we decided to settle for it. However, the replacement order was processed incorrectly, so almost two weeks later, we received the exact same pieces with the same problems. We were furious, since we had a hard time getting those replacement pieces - the warehouse wouldn't call us to set up delivery, the manager wouldn't call us back as promised, it took much longer than we were told. Once agaian, we had to go to the store and actually wanted a full refund, but one of the managers threatened us that we would lose part of our money since it was in the contract. He fixed up that replacement order, didn't offer any compensation (except we were told the other set was more expensive, but the price was never explained to us, so we don't know how true it is). Now we have to call the warehouse once more to set up delivery, and have no idea how long it's going to take, since the store staff apparently has no control over that. So we have no idea when this whole nighmare will be over, and we have a baby coming any day now. Very upset with Ashley's, will never shop there again, definitely would not recommend it to anyone. We gave them a chance to resove the issue and even settled for a different color, and it was still all mishandled, with no compensation offered and not even a proper apology. Totally unacceptable!
